At home
- Write a shopping list together and let your child spell one word by its sounds.
- After washing hands or making a snack, write the steps together: First, next, then, last.
- Ask what your child likes and why, then write the sentence for them to copy.
- Celebrate the trying: a word spelled by its sounds (kak for cake) is a good start.
